Recently I was commissioned to design some more interpretation panels to extend the Lowther Castle exhibition into the gardens. These went up just as the country was coming out of lockdown - perfect timing as it was all outside in a safe environment. The idea was to work with, rather than against the Heritage-listed castle ruins so we came up with the idea of printing onto clear acetate so you can still see the castle walls through the panels. The panels tell the story of how the castle used to look in its heyday and also detail the new planting schemes by Dan Pearson you can see there today. A great way to take the exhibition outside.
It is a magical place and well worth a visit if you are ever in Cumbria.
