New Garden Interpretation panels at Lowther Castle

Recently I was commissioned to design some more interpretation panels to extend the Lowther Castle exhibition into the gardens. These went up just as the country was coming out of lockdown - perfect timing as it was all outside in a safe environment. The idea was to work with, rather than against the Heritage-listed castle ruins so we came up with the idea of printing onto clear acetate so you can still see the castle walls through the panels. The panels tell the story of how the castle used to look in its heyday and also detail the new planting schemes by Dan Pearson you can see there today. A great way to take the exhibition outside.

It is a magical place and well worth a visit if you are ever in Cumbria.

Lockdown lino prints

As the world locked down due to the Corona virus pandemic, one positive outcome was having some time to try out new things. I took up lino-printing. I had some tools and inks ready to go and now finally some time to get stuck in. My first print was a pangolin. These amazing creatures had some bad press about being a possible cause of Corona virus. Undeserved, I thought.

I have some copies of these and the pelican print available to buy.

Contact me for details.
